Another shutout victory for rams women’s soccer

(THE PICKET)—The Shepherd Rams women’s soccer team improved to 4-3-2 for the season with a 1-0 shutout victory Wednesday, Sept. 30, over the Urbana University Knights.

Wednesday’s win was fourth shutout victory for the Rams of the season.

Rams sophomore Taylor Harwood scored the first and game winning goal late in the second half with just over 10 minutes left. It was Harwood’s first goal of the season.

The Rams used two goal tenders to contribute to the shutout; freshman Christi LaBella recorded three saves for the game, and freshman Kelsey Rhoderick added two second half saves to preserve the shutout.

The Rams will play again Saturday, Oct. 3, away against the University of Charleston at 1 p.m.
