Women’s Soccer Holds off Fairmont State

 

(THE PICKET)-The Shepherd University Rams improved to 2-1-1 Thursday, Sept. 17, with a 1-0 shutout victory over the Fairmont State Falcons.

The Rams scored the only goal of the game 7 minutes in when Lexi Vondrak scored an unassisted goal. The Rams outshot the Falcons 14 to 8.

Shepherd had a pair of goalies who helped the Rams shutout the Falcons. Kelsey Rhoderick and Christi LaBella each played one half and recorded one save.

The Rams will hit the field again Sunday, Sept. 20, at 2:30 p.m. when they take on West Liberty University at home.
