The Rams defeated the Raiders 8-1 on Wednesday in mountain east conference action. With the win, the Rams extended their win streak to five. Of the eight matchups during the contest, three were doubles, with the final six being singles matches.
In the #1 singles match, Rams Alisha Adkins defeated Shippensburgs’ Catherine Miller in two sets: 6-1, and 6-2. Another notable win for Shepherd came in the #1 doubles matchup. Molly Lovern and Zoe Nicewander defeated Shippensburgs’ Catherine Miller and Gabbie Binder 8-2.
The only lost matchup on the day for the Rams was in the #3 doubles.
The Rams have finished their schedule for the 2017 season, ending on a high note. Overall in the MEC tournament, Shepherd finished 5-6.
