(THE PICKET) – Sexual violence is once again rearing its ugly head on Shepherd University’s campus.
Campus police received a report of a sexual assault that occurred on January 17. The incident took place in an as of yet unspecified residence hall on campus and the “person of interest” has been identified, according to an email sent by Chief McAvoy to campus staff.
The victim is currently being assisted by the university.
The investigation is ongoing and more information will be released as it becomes available. As of this writing, Chief McAvoy hasn’t been reached for comment.
