Homecoming weekends are always filled with parades, tailgating, lots of spirit and, of course, football.

Mom and daughter duo Andrea and Kiera Batson said that the Homecoming game is always a good opportunity to get together and socialize. “We love the atmosphere. It’s fun, up-beat and full of spirit,” Andrea said.

Bill Adams, an alum and football Hall of Famer loves everything about the homecoming game. Adams played for the Rams in 1988, 1991, 1992 and 1993.

“This gives me a chance to enjoy it, because when I played, you don’t know the magnitude of what goes on before and after the game; and it is fantastic,” Adams said. “We’re here every year—this is flawless. We’ve been doing it for so long.”

Brad Edwards, who graduated in 2007, has been coming to football games with his buddies since they graduated. Edwards, along with three of his friends, played golf for Shepherd. They love tailgating with their wives and young children and playing corn hole.

“This is always our first game of the year and our favorite kick-off,” Edwards said. “Things have calmed down a lot since we’ve had kids, but it’s still a great time. The kids love running around and watching the parade.”

Along with the great tailgating and pre-game spirits, the fans also left Ram Stadium excited and impressed with how the team played Saturday, avenging one of two losses from the 2014 season.
