The male suspect arrested Tuesday in connection with the Sunday, Feb. 1, sexual assault on the campus at Shepherd University was transported to the Eastern Regional Jail in Martinsburg, W.Va., according to a jail spokesman.
Jeremiah Goodwin, 32, is being held and an arraignment is set for Wednesday morning.
“He hasn’t been arraigned. There is no bail or sentencing information,” the spokesman said. “He will be arraigned between 8 a.m. to 11 a.m.”
Goodwin was arrested Tuesday by University police with the assistance of the Shepherdstown Police Department.
According to a University press release, Goodwin is not a student.
