Ram Nation had an amazing experience traveling thousands of miles with thousands of other Ram fans to Kansas City, KS, to watch our team participate in the DII National Football Championship for the first time ever.
Social media kept many of the Ram faithful connected in ways not possible even just a few years ago. Twitter gave up to the minute updates; Facebook allowed family and friends to keep up with each other; Instagram shared pictures of all the fun; and Snapchat provided a quick glance into other fans’ experience.
It somehow made the event more enjoyable knowing Ram Nation was united for one purpose, be it on the road, in the air, at various watch parties or gathered with loved ones at home.
I suspect the winning traditions, academic successes, and artistic triumphs of Shepherd University will continue to grow and unite us in pride of our Alma Mater. Social media just may be a key component of the glue that holds Ram Nation together.
