Headband Monday featuring Hagan Wilt

(THE PICKET) – Hagan Wilt is a sophomore computer information sciences major at Shepherd University.

Q: How long have you been growing your hair out?

A: I’ve probably only been growing it for two to three months, not very long.

Q: Tell me about your hairband.

A: I saw it on YouTube. A guy who does video logs had curly hair as well and he would put his hair up into headbands.

Q: Why did you decide to do it?

A: I decided to do it because without the headband my hair looks stupid. I used to have my hair slicked to one side with the other side shaved, but once my hair started growing out it started getting curly and it started looking stupid so I just started putting it in a headband.

Q: Do you see people around campus following the trend?

A: I haven’t seen it here but I’ve seen it at events that I’ve gone to like concerts and stuff, but not at Shepherd.

Q: Are you going to continue growing your hair out?

A: I’m definitely going to continue. I’m going to try to see if I can get a curly man bun, but it’s going to take a little while.

We love your style, Hagan! Every Monday The Picket will be featuring a new guy on campus with a headband or man bun.
