(THE PICKET)– The Rams left it all on the court Saturday during their final regular season game, in front of their home fans against Fairmont State. The hard fought battle carried on until the final seconds of the game when combined with missing foul shots and missed opportunities, the Rams couldn’t seal the deal.

Shepherd outscored Fairmont State 22-12 in the first period, a promising sight for the fans. Fairmont dominated the second period, but Rams went into the locker room with heads held high and a two-point lead, 35-33.

FSU came out of halftime with a new game face ready to give Shepherd all they had, and outscored the rams 20-11 in the third quarter. The Ram fans were on the edges of their seats as they watched the clock with fingers crossed that the Rams could hold on to the lead.
