Volleyball Ends Home Stand Victorious

The Shepherd University Volleyball team hosted West Virginia Wesleyan on Friday, Nov. 4 in the Butcher Center. The Rams took down the Bobcats in three sets (25-16, 25-16, 25-22).

Jaila Bell and Peyton Lindblad led the Rams with nine kills each. Grace Simmons added eight kills to contribute to the victory. Christine Jackson had three blocks for Shepherd while Kelsey Anderson had 11 digs.

The Rams took down both Salem International and Bowie State at home on Saturday, Nov. 5. The Rams beat Salem International in three sets (25-8, 25-7, 25-6).

Lindblad recorded 12 kills whie Bell had nine. Jackson had three aces to help the Rams, while Imani Major had 13 digs and Bell had 12.

In their last game of the home stand, The Rams defeated Bowie State in three sets (25-8, 25-7, 25-6). In this quick match, Bell had nine kills while Lindblad and Simmons both had eight. Jackson, Major, and Shelby Wallace all had two aces. Jackson made her presence known at the net once again with three blocks. Major had 10 digs for the Rams.

Shepherd now has a record of 11-19 overall and 4-10 in the Mountain East Conference. The Rams will travel to Concord University on Friday, Nov. 11 for a 7 p.m. match.
