Shepherd Football Team Honored for Their Historic Season

The Rams' football team was recognized Wednesday for their 13-1 record in the 2016 season. The team made it to the semi-finals of the Division Two national championship this year, but fell short of victory in a 23-13 defeat at home to the University of North Alabama. In 2015, the Rams also posted a 13-1 record and made it to the national championship, where they lost to Northwest Missouri State University by a score of 34-7. Before the game, members of the football team signed various items for fans. The team was honored at halftime of the men's basketball contest against West Liberty University.
