Shepherd dominates Notre Dame

(THE PICKET)-Shepherd gets back above the .500 mark with a dominating 108-94 win over the 16-7 Notre Dame College Falcons.

For the first time in conference play this year Shepherd showed a dominant performance from the opening tip to the final buzzer. The Rams opened up the game with a quick three pointer and would never again give up the lead leading by as much as 24 and taking a 23-point lead into half time.

The second half started the same way the first half ended with Shepherd dominating offensively and defensively extending their lead to as much 29 midway through the second half on their way to a 14-point victory.

Skylar Roman finished the day with a career high 33 points against the Falcons connecting on 11-of-17 field goals with a 6-of-9 performance from three-point range.

Steffen Davis finished the game with an impressive 26 points of his own, with Ryan McTavish adding 22 points in the victory.

Shepherd shot 54 percent from the floor while shooting an outstanding 52.5 percent from three-point range. The Rams drained 19-of-24 free throws. Notre Dame shot 43.7 percent from the floor with a 24.4 percent effort from beyond the arc.

The Rams return to action on Saturday when they travel to Urbana for a 4 p.m. game
