Shepherd’s Student Government Association proposed a new idea that could prevent discrimination on campus.
Students can vote on the proposal this week on Rampulse.
“This proposal will help to prevent anyone from being discriminated against no matter what their gender, race, gender expression, religion or culture. By gender expression, I mean however one identifies themselves as or how they express themselves,” Caitlin O’Connor, the campus relations officer for the Student Government Association, said.
If the proposal is passed, then it will move forward and be added to Shepherd’s constitution.
“These have been rights that students have informally had in the past but now it is going to be formally recognized,” O’ Connor said.
More information about the proposal will be released on Rampulse when students vote.
