The 39th edition of Sans Merci, Shepherd University’s art and literary magazine, is to be unveiled Thursday evening.
The art viewing is set for 6-7 p.m. in the Shepherdstown War Memorial Building, 102 East German St. A reading of literature submissions by selected writers will be held from 7 to 8 p.m.
“Without mercy” is the meaning of Sans Merci. It is entirely student run with two professors that work as advisors for the student editors. Each year the art and literary side are made up of student editors.
Sans Merci has been recognized with an award as a national literary magazine and this year’s issue will be sent off soon for the possibility of being recognized again.
