In their only two games on the week, the Lady Rams won one match against Glenville State but lost their other match to California University of Pennsylvania. The team is now 15-7 on the season.
In their 3-0 win against the Lady Pioneers on Friday, Oct. 17, junior Taylor Allen and freshman Kayleigh Helgesen led the team seven kills each. Senior Valerie Bour recorded a game-high 18 digs while junior Samantha Scroggins notched 10. Glenville State dropped to 1-20 on the season with the loss.
California University of Pennsylvania got the better of Shepherd, as the Lady Rams dropped to the Lady Vulcans 3-0. Taylor Allen, Kayleigh Helgesen and senior Kayla Motheral had five kills each to lead the team. Allen and Samantha Scroggins once again led the team in digs, with Allen recording 12 and Scroggins with 10. Laurel Miller and Danielle Hayes led California (Pa.) with 10 kills respectively.
The Lady Rams will hit the road for their next four games, including conference matches against Notre Dame College, Urbana, Fairmont State and West Virginia Wesleyan.
