The Rams (1-5) fell to number 5 USC-Aiken 3-8 during Saturday’s contest.
The Rams led early, scoring the game’s first run and holding the lead until the fourth inning.
Two more runs were added in the third to give the Rams a 3-1 lead.
The Pacers would answer with a flurry of runs themselves, scoring two runs in the fourth to tie the game 3-3.
The Rams and Pacers battled it out in the fifth, holding each other to zero runs.
With the spark gone, the Rams could do nothing but watch as USC-Aiken scored the game’s last five runs.
The Rams were led by CF Jonathan Sarty who scored two of the three runs for the Rams, going 2-4 at the plate.
Second baseman Jacob Carney also contributed to the game, scoring the first run of the game on 1-4 batting.
The Rams are back in action Sunday at 1 p.m. for their final game of the series.
