The Shepherd University Lady Rams have now extended their latest win streak to three following road wins over West Virginia State University and the University of Charleston.
On Friday, Oct. 10, the Lady Rams came away with a 3-1 victory over the Lady Yellow Jackets of West Virginia State. Senior Valerie Bour led the team with 15 kills while senior Katie Beecher came away with 12 and junior Taylor Allen added nine. Junior Samantha Scroggins had a game-high 19 digs. Freshman Kelsey Anderson recorded 17 digs and Bour came away with 10.
The next day, the team traveled to the University of Charleston where they swept the Lady Golden Eagles 3-0. Katie Beecher had a game-high 11 kills with Valerie Bour and freshman Kayleigh Helgesen notching 10 each. Samantha Scroggins led the Lady Rams with nine digs. Bour and Kelsey Anderson both recorded eight.
Shepherd will look to extend its win streak next week as they travel to California University of Pennsylvania before coming home for a Friday, Oct. 17 match against Glenville State.
