After finishing his collegiate career, former Rams’ quarterback Jeff Ziemba has signed with the Baltimore Lightning of the CAN-AM Indoor Football League.
In the past two seasons at Shepherd University, Ziemba helped lead the Rams to the National Championship Game in the 2015 season and the National Semifinal in the 2016 season.
Ziemba will be missed by the Rams, as he looks to start this new chapter in his life.
Notable achievements in Ziemba’s career include earning All-MEC honors from 2014-2016 (including first team honors from 2015-2016) and MEC Offensive Player of the Year (2015). In 2016, he was also named to the D2CCA All-Super Region 1 First Team, in addition to being a finalist for the Harlon Hill Trophy.
Other accolades Jeff Ziemba earned while playing for the Rams consist of being named to the Don Hansen’s Football Gazette All Super Region 1 First Team Offense, D2footall.com All-America Honorable mention, and being named to Don Hansen NCAA Division II All-America Third Team Selection. All of these honors were earned during the 2016 season.
