The Shepherd women’s soccer team lost a double overtime defensive battle Saturday against the University of Charleston Golden Eagles bringing their season record to 4-4.
The Rams and Golden Eagles were locked in a defensive battle for 103 minutes, not allowing a goal on either side, but at the 104 mark the Charleston’s Ivey Nucilli scored on a pass from Marieke Kramer giving the Golden Eagles the only score they would need for the victory.
Charleston out shot the Rams by a margin of 35 to 5.
Shepherd will take the field again Oct.4 at noon when West Liberty comes to town.
