Two screenings of the award-winning film “Inequality for All” will be offered at the Byrd Center for Legislative Studies this month. The film received the U.S. Documentary Special Jury Award at the 2013 Sundance Film Festival.
In a release provided to The Picket, Jay Wyatt, director of programs and research for the Byrd Center, called the film a “must-see…for anyone interested in the larger economic imperatives impacting America today.” The documentary profiles former United States Secretary of Labor Robert Reich who is now a professor and author. Reich explores topics such as the growing income gap, the consolidation of wealth among a small percentage of the U.S. population and the long-term effects of income inequality in the American democratic system.
Screenings will take place in the Robert C. Byrd Center for Legislative Studies auditorium on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at 12:30 p.m. and Thursday, Jan. 30 at 7 p.m. Admission is free and open to the public.
