Tonight’s Rampage is the first in five years, Program Board says

Shepherd University’s Program Board will be hosting the Late Night Rampage tonight, Sept. 13, 2024, from 9:00 p.m – 12:00 a.m in the Storer Ballroom, the first since the COVID-19 pandemic five years ago. Chick-Fil-A and mocktails will be provided.

The event is a late-night rave party hosted by the University for any student on campus, which was popular among the student body for years.

“Years ago, Program Board hosted Rampage, which was a huge event that students could go to, have fun, play games, and enjoy music! [The] Program Board’s last Rampage event was in 2020, before COVID-19 hit,” Program Board Member and President of the Mental Health Club Samantha Fridley Explained.

Program Board is excited to be holding this event, seeing itself as one of the ways Shepherd is revamping itself with more fun events for students, according to Fridley.

“I am very excited for students to come together and have fun! [The] Program Board has been planning this for a long time, and we are excited to bring back this fun event after four years. I am excited to hear the hype around campus,” Fridley said.

With the event being the first in half a decade, Program Board decided to co-host the University-sponsored rave with Tribrid, an electronic music group (EDM) formed by Shepherd University Students, Zach Fernstein, Jachkson Reich, and Josh Fivecoats.

Shepherd students, even some who aren’t interested in raves, have shown interest in checking it out.

“I do plan on going with my friends. It’s not really my scene, but I want to try it out, because it might actually be fun,” said Sophomore Paige Mills

Shepherd’s Program Board hosts events throughout the semester, and frequently announce events on their Instagram page.
