Young Life is taking 25 Shepherd University students on a weekend getaway to Rockbridge Alum Springs Camp in Virginia Sept. 28-30.
The organization’s goal is to let students experience life together and learn more about faith. Joel Heslop, Young Life area director for Jefferson County, is taking the students for a weekend of fun, friendship, and growth. It will cost $110.
“This is a great way for students to create many great memories and friendships that will last a lifetime,“ Heslop said.
“It also is a good way for students to grow together, have community, and adventures.”
The students will be headed to Rockbridge with more than 600 college students from other schools including West Virginia University, George Mason University and James Madison University. Rockbridge has food, amenities, a ropes course, quarter-mile zip line into a lake, and pool. There will be several games, skits, and music.
If you want to sign up to go to Rockbridge, then go to one of the Young life weekly clubs at Shepherd and talk to Heslop, or you can go to their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/shepherdyounglife/.
