On April 14 from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. Shepherd will be hosting a racial justice workshop, Together We Rise, sponsored by Shepherd’s College of Social and Behavioral Sciences, the Women’s March, and Berkeley County NAACP. It will be an evening of understanding and learning how to connect and talk about the difficult issues that people of different backgrounds face.

J. C. Faulk, the founder of Circles of Voices, a diversity consulting firm that seeks to start conversations about racial issues, will facilitate the discussion. The intention is to promote awareness of racial issues, as well as bring people of diverse backgrounds together through mutual understanding of each other.

The workshop is free and open to the public, it will take place in White Hall in rooms 104, 112 and 113.
