The Study Abroad Club is hosting this year’s Study Abroad Fair, it will be held Tuesday in the Rams Den from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. The fair is for students to learn about studying abroad and different opportunities to study abroad.

Faculty members who are taking students abroad in 2019 and students who have studied abroad will be at the fair to help students and inform them about the process of studying abroad.

Yin Star, the director of study abroad and the faculty advisor for the Study Abroad Club has been running the fair for the three years that it has been in place and said, “Studying abroad allows you to stand out on your resumés and cover-letter.”

Star added it makes students more independent and helps them be better problem solvers.

The mission of the Study Abroad Club is to develop a community to encourage and educate students about the opportunities and advantages of studying abroad. The club holds meetings every Monday at 4:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in room 256 of Scarborough Library. Meetings also are beneficial for helping students raise money for their trips.
