News Shepherd University hosts Hispanic cultural event By Brian McDonagh - October 18, 2017 0 842 Share on Facebook Tweet on Twitter Shepherd University students had the opportunity to taste foods from six Hispanic cultures, and participate in Spanish-style dances during Hispanic Heritage Month, sponsored by the Alianza group. The monthlong event gave students "different tastes from different cultures," said Daisy Bautista, Alianza president. While primarily the "Latino voice on campus," Bautista said, Alianza welcomes all students in its effort to promote diversity.
