Women Going Dancing

This past weekend, the seedings for the 2013 WVIAC Women’s Basketball Tournament were released with the Shepherd University Women’s basketball team being high on that list. This Monday night, the Rams will play host to Bluefield in a 7 vs 10 matchup at home at 7 PM

 

Men Going Dancing

This past weekend, the seedings for the 2013 WVIAC Men’s Basketball Tournament were released with the Shepherd University Men’s basketball team being high on that list. This Tuesday night, the Rams will play host to Glenville State in a 6 vs 11 matchup at home at 9 PM.

 

Moore Named WVIAC Co-WVIAC Player of the Week

This past Sunday, Shepherd University Senior Forward Chad Moore was named Co-WVIAC Player of the Week with West Virginia Wesleyan Senior Forward Kelsey Williams. Moore powered the Rams to a 1-1 record this past week including a heart-breaker to the third ranked West Liberty men’s team. Moore had 29 points in that game and followed that up with a 39 point performance in a win against West Virginia Wesleyan.

 

Women’s Trio Gains All-WVIAC Honors

Senior forward Emily Daniel, sophomore guard Rachel Johnson, and freshman center Gabby Flinchum were named to the All-WVIAC teams. Daniel (14 ppg, 7.5 rpg) and Johnson (13.9 ppg, 81% free throw percentage) were both named to the second team. Flinchum (50 blocks, 12.2 ppg) was an honorable mention.
